Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Loanova ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application on Android and iOS. We built Loanova to work entirely on your device, so this policy focuses primarily on the limited data handled by advertising services within the App.

3. Data the App Itself Collects

No account required

Loanova does not require you to create an account, and does not collect your name, email address, or phone number. All financial information you enter is processed and stored locally on your device using an on-device database (Hive), and is never transmitted to us or to any server we control.

• Loan amount, interest rate, tenure, EMI schedules, and notes — stored locally on your device only
• No account creation, login, name, email, or phone number collected
• No access to your location, camera, microphone, or contacts
• No linking to bank accounts or financial institutions

4. Data Collected via Device Permissions

Loanova requests the following device permissions strictly to support in-app functionality. No data associated with these permissions is transmitted externally.

5. PDF Export & Sharing

Loanova allows you to export your amortization schedule as a PDF and share it using your device's native share options. This feature only shares content you explicitly choose to export, using your device's own sharing tools — Loanova does not upload or store this data on any server.

6. Third-Party Services — Google AdMob

Loanova uses Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. AdMob, and its advertising partners, may collect and process the following information for ad-related purposes:

• Advertising identifiers (Android Advertising ID / iOS IDFA, subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework)
• IP address and general, coarse location information derived from IP
• Device information (device model, operating system version, language settings, screen size)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and related engagement metrics)

This information is used by Google and its partners for: ad serving, ad personalization (where permitted by your settings and region), frequency capping, invalid traffic and fraud detection, and measurement/analytics.

Opting Out of Personalized Ads

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (respond to the App Tracking Transparency prompt), and Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising

Note: If we integrate additional advertising or analytics services in the future, this policy will be updated to disclose those services separately.

7. Third-Party Services — Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics

Loanova uses Google Firebase services — specifically Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics — to help us understand how the App is used and to identify and fix technical problems.

Firebase Analytics

Firebase Analytics collects information about how you interact with the App so we can understand usage patterns and improve the App over time. This may include:

• App usage events (screens viewed, features used, session duration and frequency)
• Device information (device model, operating system version, language, region)
• App identifiers and install/update information
• Approximate location derived from IP address (country/region level only — no precise GPS location is collected)

Firebase Crashlytics

Firebase Crashlytics collects technical diagnostic data when the App crashes or encounters an error, so we can identify and fix bugs. This may include:

• Crash logs and stack traces
• Device state at the time of the crash (device model, OS version, available memory/storage, battery state)
• App version information

Crash reports do not intentionally include the financial/loan data you've entered into the App, since that data is stored locally and is not passed to Crashlytics.

Firebase data is processed by Google in accordance with its own privacy and data processing terms. You can read more here: firebase.google.com/support/privacy

This data is used solely for app analytics, performance monitoring, and crash diagnostics — it is not used for advertising personalization by us.

8. Children's Privacy

Loanova is a financial/loan calculation tool and is not directed at or intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Where AdMob is configured within the App, advertisements are served under Google's "not child-directed" treatment setting.

9. Data Sharing & Disclosure

• We do not sell your personal data.
• Data is shared with Google only as described in Section 6 (Google AdMob) and Section 7 (Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics), for advertising and app analytics/diagnostics purposes.
• We do not share data with any other third parties.
• We may disclose information only if required to do so by law or valid legal process.

10. Data Retention & Deletion

• Your loan and EMI data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App.
• Because Loanova has no user account or server-side storage, there is no separate "account deletion" process — clearing app data or uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored information.
• Advertising identifiers are controlled by your device's operating system settings, not by Loanova.

11. Security

Your data is stored locally on your device within your operating system's standard app sandbox. Because no financial or personal data is transmitted to servers we control, there is no server-side database of your information that could be exposed in a breach.

12. Your Rights & Choices

• You can delete individual entries at any time directly within the App.
• You can remove all App data at any time via your device's "Clear app data" option or by uninstalling the App.
• Since Loanova does not sync data across devices, there is no account-based data export request process.

13. International Users (EEA / UK / Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, advertising through Google AdMob may require your consent before ads are personalized, in line with applicable data protection laws (such as the GDPR). Where required, a consent mechanism (such as Google's User Messaging Platform) is used to collect this consent before personalized ads are shown.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
